Litha, Summer Solstice or Midsummer is a time for rededication to the Great Goddess and Great God, marks the zenith of the Sun and the day of the longest light, from this day on the light begins to decline, the days shorten, and though this is midsummer, we have begun to move towards Winter.
Altar cloth: red or gold
Animals: Butterfly, bee, wren, robin, snake
Candles: blue, yellow-gold candle to represent the sun. Orange, gold, green
Colors: Gold, red, orange, blue, yellow and green
Deities: Aine, Freya, Flora, Habondia, Lugh, Greenman, Oak King, Bast, Brigit, Hathor
Foods: All early summer fruits and vegetables, ale and mead, honey cakes,  red wine, strawberries, sun tea, herbal teas
Herbs: Carnation, Chamomile, Daisy, Fern,  Honeysuckle, Ivy, Lavender, Lily, Mugwort, Rose, Vervain, Wild Thyme, Yarrow
Incense: Cedar, Frankincense, Sage, Lavender, Lemon, Musk, Myrrh, Pine, Rose and Tangerine
Oils: Citronella, Lime, Orange, Rose, Thyme and Violet

Stones: Amber, calcite, carnelian,  cat’s-eye,  citrine, clear quartz crystal, diamond, tiger’s eye, jade, emerald,  ruby, garnet ,seashell, Herkimer diamond, yellow topaz, yellow tourmaline, gold, silver, peridot

Trees: Elder, Oak
